A note regarding our commitment to using local foods:
Here at All Good, we don't throw the word "local" around carelessly. We thoroughly research our suppliers and support businesses that bring us their sustainable raw or minimally processed ingredients expending the least amount of miles possible. By doing so, we support a community of families and our regional economy, lower our carbon footprint, present fresher more nutritious food to you and
really get to know the people we work with.
We use organic flours mostly* from central New York that are grown and milled roughly 140 miles from Albany via small, family-owned Champlain Valley Milling Co. in Westport. Our dairy supplier (Meadowbrook Farms) is about 13 miles away in Clarksville, Mountain Winds Maple Farm in Berne is about 15 miles. Sustainable produce in-season comes from Farmer Jon's in Selkirk (10.4 miles). We get all of our cheeses from R & G Cheesemakers in Cohoes. Out of season produce comes as much as humanly possible from local farmers who have year-round growing capabilities.
We encourage you to learn more about our (and your) suppliers
by clicking on the link at left.
Our maple syrup is Grade B dark; our dairy free of rBST, GMO, hormones & excessive antibiotics; our grains always organic and never genetically modified; produce & cheese are at least produced under organic practices.
We care about what we put in our bodies and yours.
REAL FOOD that helps us all maintain a healthy lifestyle is what we're all about. Everything is made from-scratch, in-house, by owners Nick & Britin Foster and our new Sous Chef, Lauren Ciaglo. We regularly donate loaves to Capital Region charities that feed the hungry. We recognize the importance of healthy (non-GMO), whole grains in everyone's diet, especially for people without affordable, convenient access.
(*FULL DISCLOSURE: Our Hi-Gluten flour is not obtainable from NY grain farmers yet, it hails from the Midwest.)
